Flash parts in a web site look cool... BUT! And that's a BIG BUT! The one thing that we tell all of our clients "Search Engines can't read Flash!". Knowing that, how are the search engines going to read the web page for content? They won't, they'll read the meta tags and that's it.
Also, most of the users are still looking at the internet on dial up... eek! So, knowing that, we also know that those people probably aren't that Sauvé in computer land so downloading a flash component in order for them to view flash is more than likely out of the question. |

Sure Flash is cool, but it's a pain in the ass. The third and biggest complaint I have is that my clients can't update a Flash site. I would have to do that, and it would take more time updating that creating a new site from scratch!
I have done a few flash parts and incorporated them into the websites. Here are a few samples:
The first one is LowTone and they wanted the user to see their music before you could even hear their music. The smoke on top, and the picture of the band are Flash, so if you are checking the site right now and can't see parts of the site, that means you don't have Flash on your computer. Click here to download Flash.

The second example is Songs For Children and they wanted the user to hear their music while on the site and not let users download the songs (Piracy, AARG!). If you are checking the site right now and can't see the top part where the songs will be playing, that means you don't have Flash on your computer. Click here to download Flash.
